PANDANUS PARK – DOS & DON'TS

RUBBISH
|
At present a rubbish removal system is in place, check with a committee member or a regular camper.
|
WATER
|
The Normanby River runs all year , you can collect water safely at Jacks Creek crossing , it's a campers choice to drink this water or not , if you decide to drink it the old rule applies, BOIL IT FIRST.
|
FIRE WOOD
|
Camp fires are allowed for meal preparation, ONLY fallen timber to be used, leave all standing timber; dead or alive.
|
DOGS
|
Dogs are permitted but for the safety and comfort of others MUST be under the owners control at all times .
|
RAP
|
NO DOGS – please leave your dogs either tied to your vehicle or at camp.
NO CAMPING – no camping within 100 meters of the RAP please.
|
WILDLIFE
|
Enjoy the wildlife, do not harm anything.
|
OTHER CAMPERS PROPERTY
|
Respect other campers and their property, do not enter in a camp without permission.
|
STRUCTURES
|
No structures to be erected.
|
TOILETS
|
Pit or Chemical – Pit toilets 50 meters from water ways, filled in and marked FOUL GROUND on departure.
|
GENERATORS
|
Generators are permitted but place them to minimize noise to other campers.
|
NO CAMP ZONES
|
Please no camps near the HELI PAD and on camping 100 mtrs either side of the memorial.
|
DRIVING
|
REMEMBER YOU ARE RELAXING….drive slowly, keep the dust down, and use bypasses where available.
|
FIREARMS
|
''NO FIREARMS'' to be visible or used in the Pandanus Park license area.
|
ENTRY / EXIT
|
Entry and exit to PandanusPark is via the KALPOWAR HOMESTEAD road ONLY.
|
FROM THE PRES: You have miles of room to camp, don't just find a spot and squeeze in, ask a long termer if he can help you find a nice camp, or call on one of the committee, we know it backwards.
